What About the Screen?

Powering and turning on and off screens is not directly supported by the CarPC Pro or EZ Power Controllers. That said, please continue reading for viable solutions to that issue. There are several options, one of which should work for your situation.

Options:
1) We commonly use PC LCDs that require being plugged into the inverter (because they are larger and less expensive). Therefore, it receives power when the Power Controller turns on the inverter. And, most PC LCDs automatically turn on when they are plugged in and sense the PC on. Therefore, you don't need to worry about it.

2) If you are using a mobile (made for car) screen, it may have a remote turn on line. If this is the case, simply use the amp turn on lines (marked #5, step 6 in the manual) the same as you use them to turn on an amplifier.

3) If using the mobile screen without a remote turn on line and an inverter to power the PC, then you will have to manually turn on and off the screen or connect it to the ignition or the switched line that turns on the head unit.

4) If using the mobile screen without a remote turn on line and NOT using the inverter to power the PC, then you can use the inverter control wires (marked #4, this would replace step 5 in the manual) on our Power Controller to turn on the screen. Simply connect one line to +12 and the other to the power on the screen.

The reason Option 4 is possible is that the two wires marked #4 (for the inverter turn on) are the contacts on a relay. It is enough to supply moderate power (a few amps) to anything you want.
