It comes with software for your Windows PC that allows you to set timers and gives you advanced control of how and when the PC will turn off. You can even cancel the shutdown.

Compatible with late models of v2.4 and all v2.5 Power Controllers - To tell if your v2.4 will work, enter Config mode. If you can access Config Setting 27 on your SDC, it is compatible.

Compatible with Windows XP and 2000

Delivery - Once purchased, the hardware will be shipped out, and instructions will be emailed within 24 hours so you may download the software from our website.

Requires the Microsoft .NET framework v1.1 or later (we provide this for you) to be installed on your PC.

Note: The Serial Port Shutdown Accessory Can Not power on a PC. If you want a Laptop to automatically power on, you must use one of our SDCs and solder the brown wires to the Laptop's power button.

To Connect the Hardware to any of the Power Controllers: Connect the 2-pins from the serial port hardware to the Power Controller's brown wires.
