Product Overview:

The Morex Car Power Kit is designed to power mini-ITX motherboards by using the cigarette outlet in a car or by any external car battery.

It regulates the 12 V output in cars prior to applying it to the input of the DC-DC converter of an in-car computer. The voltage in a car can spike up as high as 18-20 V, potentialy damaging the DC-DC converter as well as the motherboard. The 12V voltage regulator provides a clean 12 V output to the DC-DC converter board.
